I'm Back!

Yes, I'm back! I'm getting excited about going to Cornerstone Festival 2009! Every thing's getting packed up & ready to go! This year, not only am I and my adult son going to be volunteers again, I have a mission that I discovered last year, with the inadvertent help of "Pastor" Ralph Ovadal from the church called Pilgrims Covenant Church out of Monroe Wisconsin. I don't know if Ralph will be there, but I'm sure that his "buds" will be. They'll descend upon the gates of Cornerstone Farm like a (small) swarm of Locusts, ready to condemn Fest attendees to an eternity in Hell for even thinking about going inside. Yes, fresh from their battles with Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Sodomites, "Freedom From Religion" folks, Franklin Graham, these people still aren't satisfied so they jump on the blood trail of other Christians like vampire bats, accuse them, mock them, even call them profane names...well...like the people did to Jesus right before they crucified him, come to think about it. So I guess we're in good company. However, my battle isn't with these sanctimonious hypocrites, it's with Satan himself. The Word of God says, in Eph. 6:12: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

So my battle is with the Prince of Darkness himself, the one who has blinded Ralph and his cronies and deceived them into thinking that they have to do this in the blessed name of Jesus.

My weapons are "truth", "righteousness", "the gospel of peace", "faith". "salvation", and the "sword of the Spirit", which is "the Word of God". I will pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.

This also means that I shall not be drawn off of my path by the dupes of Satan intending to do so by trying to involve me in their vain and fruitless debates. Last year I mentioned to Ralph Ovadal that the scriptures directed me not to "strew pearls before swine or give what is Holy to dogs, as they will trample them under their feet, then turn around and attack me." So has it been with the Protesters. Ralph displayed his Biblical ignorance by assuming, as he always does, that I was calling him one of these animals and then went on to tell me "not to worry as he hadn't seen any "pearls" from me yet"! Even though I'd quoted Holy Scripture Ralph failed to recognize God's word as "pearls!" Interesting! I don't think that Ralph realized how much he had just supported my original quote on Pearls and such! Recently, Ralph brags from the safety of PCC's website, that they had spent money on large messages to be posted on transit buses in Madison, Wisconsin in retaliation against the "Freedom From Religion Foundation. This group apparently holds all Christians in contempt, and I'm sure that they would lump JPUSA (Jesus People USA) in this group as well, much as though it might cause Ralph O. some chagrin. In his defense, PCC paid out money to post large banners on the outside of 11 buses the quote from Psalms 14:1: "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God." I would encourage Ralph not to stop at Psalms 14:1, but to read through the whole book of Psalms, including the last two verses, which speak specifically to what JPUSA is doing at their Festivals:

PSALM 150:1-6:

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary!
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts:
Praise Him according to His excellent gtratness!
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet:
Praise Him with the lute and the harp!Praise Him with the timbrel and dance:
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals:
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

I find the word "dance" in the above text very interesting as I'm pretty sure that none of the protesters allow "dancing" in their churches. I also find it interesting that when the Ark of Covenant was brought into Jerusalem that David danced before the whole entourage, (as I understand it, naked, by the way.) all through the city into the temple and the one person who should have been supporting him, Saul's daughter, Michal, hated him for it! (2 Sam. 6:16-23)(1 Chr. 15:29) It never seems to amaze me how so-called "men of God" quote certain scriptures out of context in a vain attempt to support an untenable position. I can only wonder what their attitude would have been if they'd been there to witness what King David did? Kind of makes you wonder, don't it?

Peace. R.S.
