I received an interesting link in the "Comments" section regarding Jehovah's Witnesses!
I must confess that they don't like hanging around my place too often when I challenge their belief structure. However, it goes a lot further than that. Before becoming "Born-Again", I used to be a Mormon. After receiving Christ in my heart I found myself, my new-found faith, and my whole belief system challenged by the "Latter Day Saints" in a desperate attempt to win me back! As a result, I went on a 5 year mission to find out just what it was & is that I truly believe. I dis-mantled & challenged everything that my fellow Christians, leaders, & churches threw at me; coming away stronger than ever as a result.
When a Jehovah's Witness shows up on your doorstep with his/her training that they received from the Watchtower Bible & Tract society ask them, 1st, about their bible: the "New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures". Then have them turn to John 1:1 & read it aloud. It says: "In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the word was "a" god." Notice the quotation marks around the letter "a"! Now as them to find you a copy of "The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures." This is where they shoot themselves in the foot! You see, this particular book is a "parallel version of the New Testament with their "New World Translation in a column on the right and their Greek translation on the left. So when you go to John 1:1 you find that the letter"a" is absent in the Greek translation! Finally ask them if they know who Johanes Gruber was? He was a Spirit Medium back in the 1800's who wrote a revised copy of the New Testament that had the same exact text as the "New World" version! I have both. Anyway, to whoever is hosting that anti-JW website, good luck with that, I wish you well!
